When I first contacted Tyron about becoming my personal trainer I had some very specific goals as to what I wanted to accomplish in my time with him. In the last 6 weeks I've pretty much gotten to about one-fifth of way to my weight goal and I think that is really cool. I've been trying to lose weight for a really long time and not getting a lot of results and when I spoke with Tyron about it, he put on a weight loss plan of exercise and nutrition/diet and within the 6 weeks I've lost 17 pounds[now 27 pounds down in 8 months]. That to me is amazing. I had told Tyron in the beginning that I needed somebody that will push me beyond my comfort zone and that is exactly what he is doing. "I'd been talking about starting a training program for a long time, but like most people, I kept talking about it, but never did anything about it. “Hi my name is Siavash and I've been working out with Tyron [owner of The Maker's Body Fitness, a North Vancouver Personal Training company] for about six months. Before I joined his program I tried to lose weight although unsuccessfully for about a year and a half.
I gained all this weight about 3-4 years ago due to some medical problems and my own laziness of course. Since I've been in good shape most of my life I figured oh this isn't going to be a problem for me because I'm an athletic guy I'll lose it without any problems. But what most people don't realize is is that losing weight is a lot harder than gaining it, which I'm pretty sure most people realize that [to a certain extent] but I think once you get over that 100 pounds of extra weight, it kind of gets tougher and you probably won't be able to do it on your own and I didn't realize that and most people probably don't either.
So anyways I tried unsuccessfully to incorporate good nutrition habits and good exercise habits into my routine to lose weight, but it didn't work. And in fact I gained a little bit of weight at the end of it too. I couldn't understand why I was gaining all this weight and why it wasn't working until I joined his [Tyron's] program. What he taught me was that there is more to it than meets the eye. For example, most people that want to lose weight think that they should avoid all fats, but in reality its the refined carbs and sugars that you're supposed to avoid because those are basically the main killers when it comes to weight gain. Also, when it comes to the exercise aspect of it, I figured okay I should do a lot of cardio or do a lot of running or walking and stuff like that, but in fact I should have been doing more weight lifting exercises and adding muscle because adding muscle technically makes you burn more energy when you're doing your normal routines - things in the day.
These are just two of the examples of things that I didn't know before I joined his program. So anyways, when I joined his program this is the same jacket I wore when I joined his program and I remember on the first day I couldn't even close it and right now I can pretty much wrap it around my stomach as you guys can see. I've lost 80 pounds so far and it's been amazing. It's of course tough and you need to be determined and have to have a good determination. You've got to be strong mentally if you are going to stick to the program, but if you do, you will see great results. I couldn't be happier as I've lost 80 pounds after trying for about a year and a half so it's been great so far and hopefully it can continue.”

"Hi my name is Ellen de Man and I had the good fortune to read an article in the North Shore Magazine two weeks about Tyron and his good plan in regards to nutrition and that exercise is just not enough. Anyways I gave him a call and we got together and I signed up with his program. I've been with him for two weeks and I can already notice quite a bit of difference.
First of all, my stomach is tighter, flatter and the fat rim that I had around my stomach is already going down. My hands that are normally quite swollen, they are going down and I think that has to do with the nutrition because I followed his information and his program to the 'T'. I do my homework, I have an exercise machine at home so I exercise, I stretch and I've changed my eating habits considerably. First of all I've dropped all alcohol, for two weeks I haven't had one bit of wine and I've just substituted it with Perrier and pretend its wine by putting it in a pink glass. I really like it here and I've had a really good time training with The Maker's Body team so I hope that this video will help whoever watches it but as you can see I just finished my workout so I feel good, I feel really really tired but I feel good. I really like having a trainer like I said, I've never had one before and I'm probably going to do this for the rest of my life 'cause its been the better workout then when I've worked out at the gym on my own.
